We all know that the devil is in the details. And often, an event’s success is as a result of carefully curated and placed details. Those details can come from a myriad of sources, and Jenn and Jules Designs is some of the best! Learn more about their business below.
Tell us about your business (what do you do, how long have you been doing it, what is your demographic, what is your service area)?
Our handcrafted laser cut/etched unique and original products are a mixture of fun, playfulness, romance, whimsical adventure, and just awesomeness. 😉 Our products range from fun and cheeky custom drink stirrers, cake toppers, and other party decor to personalized and romantic laser etched wedding favors (champagne flutes, wine glasses, table numbers, menus, invitations, etc.), accessories and signs (can we say photo booth fun!?). And even company branded goods and gifts, hello coaster sets for the new Bride and Groom! We specialize in custom products and orders; basically, if you can dream it, we can create it! Although Jenn and Jules Designs has merely been open for a bit over a year, we have over ten years industry experience and are proud to be able to say that we have handcrafted every item ourselves, with our own machines and hands, in our own shop; just the two of us, since day one. Our products have been sought after by top event and wedding planners across the world, brides and grooms looking to find those personalized pieces for their special day, marketing specialist looking to add a branded touch to their clients’ next launch party or company event, small business owners, bridesmaids/MOH, parents throwing their child’s birthday party, and just about anyone looking for a unique hostess or personalized gift. We humbly offer our services and goods worldwide!

Alongside creating unique and fun items, I’m a bride-to-be myself and Julian is a groom-to-be; we painfully understand all of the ups, downs, challenges and importance accompanied with planning a wedding. We are also parents who understand that life happens to get in the way sometimes, we work with all of our customers on an individualized basis and help in any way we can.
How did you find yourself with a career in the wedding industry?
We are a couple of lovebirds who were inspired by the birth of our son and planning our upcoming wedding to create a company and shop that encompasses everything we love and love itself. From making custom laser cut party goods and home decor for ourselves, friends and family, then finally opening our Etsy shop all the way to having our products being featured in top wedding and lifestyle magazines, blogs, and websites across the world and used in countless weddings, events and business launches…we are humbled and ever so grateful to work in such a wonderful field. We’ve found the wedding industry encompasses everything good and loving; after all, we’re in the business of celebrating love! From working with the kindest vendors and customers across the world to empowering each other and supporting one another in our businesses and endeavors, we are proud to be where we are and involved in such an amazing community.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
It’s ever so humbling and a true privilege to be able to contribute our products to any and every wedding. This is the couple and their families’ special day and to know that they chose our products for such a memorable and sacred time in their lives, it’s an honor that we don’t take lightly. Our heart and soul pours into every single piece we make. Going from the hustle and bustle and impersonal aspects involved in working in a marketing management firm to being able to creatively express myself through my company’s products and pieces in a manner completely on our terms is a breath of fresh air. I get to spend my days with my son and watching him grow and learn while working with the most talented industry pros out there, designing and creating pieces that celebrate happiness, love and a little bit of just plain party, all along by the side of my best friend and love of my life? It’s this artists’, romantic’s and mother’s dream!
What is the hardest lesson you’ve learned as a creative business owner?
As creative business owners, Julian (Jules) and I have faced challenges and have learned valuable lessons every minute of every single day. Haha Believe me, it isn’t all rainbows and butterflies every second of the day. This is one of the hardest, most rewarding, and exciting experience we’ve been through. Balancing personal, family and successfully running our own business has to be our top challenge and also our priority to master this year. We, as business owners and humans, will never be our best and fulfill what we’re capable of if we don’t have balance and accepting the things we can’t control. It’s a continuous work in progress, but we’re getting there. 🙂 (while finishing this interview, my toddler is climbing on my head…my head)
Why are you excited about the “Pricing for Profit” topic of the March session?
Along the lines of what we feel makes our company unique actually is our pricing. For instance, we aren’t the most expensive (nor the most affordable) company in our field out there, but that doesn’t mean we’re the generic version or knock off either. In fact the complete opposite, our original products have been designed and manufactured by our own hands and the time it takes to complete even the smallest order would shock many and to be honest, we could and possibly should charge more. However, alongside the desire to be able to provide handcrafted, made in America, luxury customizable goods at an affordable rate, we also love our friends, colleagues, and customers all around the world. Those exchange rates and customs fees increase the costs for our products tremendously. With that being said, we’ve found a balance but think proper pricing for actual profit is imperative and we ourselves would love to get a professional opinion and outlook on the matter. We also feel that everyone in the industry can truly benefit from such an imperative topic.
How do your clients find you ?
We are true believers in social media (we tend to favor Instagram…totally guilty) and being able to interact with our customers and target audience is and has been imperative. Alongside social media, collaborations have been an amazing experience and another true and organic form of marketing that has proven to be successful.
